My full experience of meeting the Backstreet Boys!! 5th April 2014

Hello peeps!! I'm back again! I remember in my last post, I mentioned about writing up about my experience of meeting The Backstreet Boys and then watching their show afterwards, so here it is. I apologise in advance as it will be long but I don't want to miss anything out.  During the late morning, I prepared myself by getting a professional make-over at Debenhams and getting ready back at the apartment that me and my sister were staying in. For weeks/possibly months beforehand, I was really excited and was on countdown mode.  We had to be at the arena for 3:30pm and when we got to the arena, the lift was out of order. We started panicking as there was no sign saying where to go etc but thankfully we overheard some people talking, so we finally made our way in in another way, through the station. After queueing for about an hour and half, we were eventually let into the arena. Me and my sister didn't know what or where we should be so just loitered around waiting (just like …

A Work in Progress...

Hello peeps!
Wow it's been around 2 months since I last blogged... I've had my usual things going on like my weekly outings with my support worker and medical appointments. I'm still on a self discovery journey to find as much inner peace and taking control of my life.  I've also been trying to keep my Facebook page up to date, refreshing my YouTube channel and spending time on my instagram. I haven't really been on my twitter much as I have just not felt up to it. I guess you go through stages in your life where you just want to be away from drama or real life and focus on other aspects whatever that/they may be.  Being on instagram and YouTube has helped my creativity as well as my crafting. It's giving me the confidence to publish photos and videos of myself, maybe even thinking more positive about myself. I'm sure we have all bashed ourselves down at different times in our lives for whatever reasons but I would like to believe that just maybe we can start…

Being back, and my thoughts on the Neknomination faze.

Ahoy there!  So it's been quite a few days since I last posted and I wanted to let you know what's new in Dinky's World. Not a lot has really happened apart from it was my mums birthday yesterday. She had a nice day which makes me happy. I've been doing my usual, crafting, shopping, working on Dinkykts EDS Diaries and taking each day as it comes.  I am glad that I am back writing again, it's been too long and I have missed it. However after talking to a few people, I'm working on not doubting myself as much and keep on writing. I think when things happen in your life that are negative, you do get kinda lost and unfocused. Like I used to do, I want to use my experiences and emotions to my advantage where writing is concerned. As I'm on a journey to start afresh, take chances when they arise and do the things that I love or inspire me. I know I do need to start believing people when they say they think my writing is good for whatever reason and not worry about …

Meeting up with old friends...

Hey up peeps!
How's it been for you since my last blog post? Hope it's been a positive few days and if not, I hope that it gets better. It's been fairly quiet but nice.  On Saturday I went retail shopping (again!) and I bought yet more clothes! Beginning to realise how much I do enjoy buying new things and they help make me feel better. I bought a new blue fluffy jumper (it's the fifth one in my expanding collection - oh my, didn't actually realise I've got that many of fluffy jumpers!) I also treat myself to a book called The Book of Skulls which is a fabulous little book full of pictures and brief details of each picture. It is amazing how skulls have inspired so many people from artists, fashion designers to relgious beliefs and all sorts of people.  On the Sunday after we came back from food shopping, we had a nice visit off my auntie and uncle as it was their little grandson's birthday party in the centre next door. Heard it was a great party :-)  On Tues…

My picture!

Hello everybody!
How are we today? Did you all have a good weekend? I know I did! On the Saturday I bought another new dress and had a nice afternoon in town. Then on the Sunday, I went to join in the celebrations for my cousin Sean's 50th. Had some dinner there and had a great time!  Skipping past the last few days and onto last night. I had made a birthday card picture for a member of the Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean's birthday. The picture that I drew was a part of my craft project and I decided seeing as I know he likes skulls, I'd use this picture for his card. So late last night, I discovered that the BSB included it in their card from the fans so I know for sure that he would see it :D they ran this little idea on all their media platforms and I wanted to join in having a bit of fun. I never for one moment thought they would like it and use it, I'm rather happy! It's one of the things I like about BSB, they're very interactive with their fans. For the p…

Hello...
So after an afternoon doing retail therapy which has tired me out, I can finally relax and put my feet up. In places on my leg, it's a bit puffy so it will hopefully do it a bit of good having it raised up.  It does feel strange without my uncle being here now he has gone back home but I guess all good things come to an end which will mean something else that's also good is around the corner.  For Christmas, as a present, I got given a pair of black trainer boots which I'm loving! I've worn them for the first time this afternoon and they are mega comfortable! My parents had brought them from my friends stall in the local indoor market so that's an extra bonus.  Here is a picture of my footwear.  Tonight plans are to relax in front of the telly, and later on, I'll have a play around on my iPad; listening to music, watching music videos on YouTube and play a game. I may even watch a bit of Celebrity Big Brother on Demand 5. What are your plans for tonight? x…

Reflection and Inspiration for 2014!

Hey peeps!
Happy New Year to one and all!! Hope you all had fun celebrating the new year last night... Although I only recognised a few tracks (it was a Motown and Soul night) as it was mostly soul that was played, I tried to enjoy myself as much as possible. I quite like a bit of Motown so felt disappointed with the music. However I did feel great in my outfit! I wore my new peephole dress. I now know that I want another dress like this. I'll post a pic for you to see my dress.  Today I've just been chilling out; watching telly and eating which are things I like to do. I've been thinking about the things that I would like to achieve this year. I would love to have my second craft stall (got one planned for Easter), keep on with my blogging (this blog and my other blog), my Dinkykts EDS Diaries, go to as many concerts as I can (got Backstreet Boys in April), and maybe start writing my book. I can't think of anything else at the moment but I'm sure I'll share wit…
